In February 2022 Rockstar officially confirmed the next Grand Theft Auto (presumably named GTA VI) was in development. Hopefully these new characters will rank among the very best GTA protagonists of all time. The aforementioned Bloomberg report noted a change in Rockstar’s philosophy around satire in GTA 6: The company is reportedly making an effort to write fewer jokes at the expense of marginalized groups. "The only way we're gonna get through this is by sticking together. The trailler is light on plot, though it features this exchange between its two protagonists, lending credence to its reported Bonnie & Clyde inspiration: Lucia is the first female playable character in GTA’s 3D era, and fans are already enamored. GTA 6 Story, Protagonist(s)Īs confirmed by the first trailer, Grand Theft Auto 6 will star ex-convict Lucia and her unamed, male partner in crime (reportedly Jason). That plan, however, is said to have been scrapped to reduce crunch. The report states GTA 6 is codenamed Project Americas, in reference to Rockstar’s rumored plan to originally include North and South American locations at launch. The trailer also features Rockstar's versions of TikToks and livestreams, pointing toward a modern-day setting.Īccording to a 2022 Bloomberg report, Vice City is only the starting point: Rockstar will purportedly add “new missions and cities on a regular basis.” GTA 6 is also said to include more interior locations than any previous GTA. Rockstar calls it "the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet." The debut trailer riffs on just a few of the weird and wild happenings in recent Florida history, including the "Florida Joker," a naked man doing yard work, a woman twerking atop a moving car, and several run-ins with local gators. Grand Theft Auto 6 will return to Vice City - the franchise’s stand-in for Miami - which is set within the broader map of Leonida (Florida). Rockstar’s two latest original releases - GTA 5 and Red Dead 2 - were released on PC at least a year after debuting on consoles. A PC version is expected, but it was not listed among GTA 6's launch platforms. GTA 6 will launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. A specific timeframe within 2025 has not been announced. Rockstar revealed the release window alongside the first trailer in early December. GTA 6 has officially been set to release in 2025. It broke the record for the most-viewed video game reveal on YouTube over 24 hours and the most-viewed non-music video on YouTube in 24 hours. The trailer reached over 100 million views within two days. The first Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer has been released - see it above! The 90-second debut trailer was expected to drop on December 5, though a leak led Rockstar to release it a day early.

The advantage of this setup is that it does not stream in data for the multiple layouts you have, that way you will not be wasting bandwidth on symbols you are not currently watching. This hotkey will require you to have multiple desktop files. MacroWorks software for X-keys.If your internet connection isn’t very fast, you can use our hotkey feature to load a different desktop file. Then you go File -> Write to hardware to save the programming to X-keys. You simply select the button you want to program then enter whatever hot key you defined in DAS Trader. It also allows you to individually customize the color (red or blue) and brightness of the keys. The free software that allows you to program X-key is MacroWorks. When it comes to my trading, I want the absolute most reliable solution and for me that is without a doubt X-keys. It’s perfect for pre-positioning your fingers on the buttons ready to enter/exit trades. It has real mechanical keys with spacing between the keys like a normal keyboard. With X-keys on the other hand, I’ve never had a single issue with it. You really have to be much more careful with it compared to X-keys. In this type of usage case, I got a lot of double presses and sometimes no presses at all. If you’re like me, you’ve already got your fingers strategically positioned on the keys while your eyes are focused on DAS Trader. When you’re trying to execute trades in a split second, you may not even be looking at the keyboard when you want to open a position. Other users I talked to experienced the same thing. I also tried it for three days but had to return after a lot of key misfires. What lures people this one is the LCD screen behind the keys that can be customized in Windows. The most popular secondary keyboard a.k.a. But a much cleaner solution is to get a secondary keyboard. One way to solve the key assignment issue is by writing on the keys of your keyboard. Traders have lost thousands of dollars due to pressing the wrong key (for example, instead of covering their short they actually doubled down on it…). However, if you use 8-10+ hot keys to trade, it can get kind of hairy trying to remember how you assigned the hot keys. Hot keys allow you to execute with a press of a button complex trades with things like automatic stop losses and number of shares automatically calculated based on risk.ĭAS Trader hot keys are executed by pressing buttons on your keyboard like “CTRL + ALT + B”. I have the X-keys buttons programmed to execute DAS Trader hot keys, which is one of the best features of DAS Trader. While I’m in the trade, I keep my ring finger (left hand) on “Partial -25%”, my middle finger on “Partial -50%”, and my index finger on “Cover/Sell All”. I’m usually in the trade in ~1 second of spotting it. As soon as I spot a trade to take, I click on the appropriate DAS Trader montage window and hit the Buy or Short button on X-keys. When I trade, I keep one hand on my mouse to navigate DAS Trader and my other hand on X-keys with my fingers positioned on the Buy and Short buttons. I use it to execute DAS Trader hotkeys, and it’s by far my favorite secondary keyboard and I can’t imagine trading without it. X-keys is a customizable keypad that can be programmed to execute key presses and macros. The transoms hold up wooden planks (battens) to make a platform. Double Scaffoldingĭouble scaffolding has two rows of scaffolding connected by cross braces and transoms. Single scaffolding is used for brick masonry and is made up of vertical poles (standards), horizontal poles (ledgers), diagonal poles (braces), and wooden planks (putlogs) placed across the wall openings. There are different types of scaffolding used in construction: Single Scaffolding To make temporary buildings for staging, showing off, or storing. To make it easier to put equipment, fixtures, or utilities in place. To keep people and workers safe from falling objects or debris. To give workers and materials a safe and stable place to work.To give people access to areas that are high or hard to get to.Scaffolding can be used in different ways on building sites, such as: It is important for construction safety and efficiency to use scaffolding that is strong and of good quality. Modern scaffolding is made of metals like aluminum alloy or galvanized steel, and the price depends on how good the metal is. It helps workers get to high places and places that are hard to get to, helps with construction work, and keeps workers safe. It can be fixed or moveable, and there are two main types: scaffolding that is supported by poles or frames, and scaffolding that is suspended by ropes or cables. Scaffolding is a temporary metal frame used in building to give workers and materials a place to stand. Thing You Should Know About Scaffolding. That leaves us with cellar spiders, the only true spiders of the bunch. Though this substance can kill spiders and insects, it's certainly not the world's most toxic poison. When harvestmen are disturbed, they either spray or coat themselves in a dark, foul-smelling chemical mixture designed to ward off parasites and predators. Whereas venom works by being injected into the target, poison works either by being ingested or through topical contact. Harvestmen don't have venom either - they have poison. But what about their venom? Crane flies have none, so for them, this legend is plainly false. They exist in their adult stage for just a few days - enough time to mate and lay eggs.Ĭlearly, daddy longlegs aren't just one thing. That's because many species of crane fly have no mouthparts at all. But unlike mosquitoes, they can't bite you. These are insects, not arachnids, and their long bodies and wings make them look like oversize mosquitoes. (Image credit: Terry Hadley / EyeEm via Getty Images)įinally, there are crane flies, in the family Tipulidae. Harvestmen have one body segment and two eyes. And they're mostly used for tearing apart prey, dead animals and detritus." "Harvestmen have little grabby mouthparts," Vetter told Live Science. Unlike spiders, these animals have a single body segment and only two eyes, and they don't have fangs or venom glands. Then there are harvestmen, which are arachnids in the order Opiliones. Like other spiders, it has two body segments, eight eyes and fangs, complete with venom ducts and venom glands. That animal is also known as a cellar spider, in the family Pholcidae. The problem is that the term "daddy longlegs" is used colloquially to refer to at least three different animals, only one of which is a true spider. Vetter has been busting this particular myth for years. "First, what are you calling a daddy longlegs?" said Rick Vetter, a retired research associate of entomology at the University of California, Riverside. But to reach that answer, we're going to have to get a few things straight. (Image credit: Iain Lawrie via Getty Images) Really the most venomous spiders in the world? A daddy longlegs, also known as a cellar spider. When two or more Beast Handlers are merged, the beasts can be placed inside of the range of connected Beast Handlers, similarly to Advanced Intel. These beasts can be placed anywhere in its larger (60) range, essentially giving the tower two ranges. Upon owning any beast, the base attack stops in order to focus on the beast(s). The Beast Handler handles beasts that help stop the bloons, which are accessed by buying upgrades. It can, however, be placed on frozen water. It cannot be buffed by Alchemists and cannot be picked up by Support Chinook. The base Beast Handler uses its staff to pop bloons, where it stabs up to 4 bloons with its staff every 1.4s, each hit dealing 1 damage ( energy), each attack ignores Line of Sight obstacles provided it can detect a bloon, and has 20 range, the smallest of any tower. Unlike most towers, the Beast Handler is unlocked after completing all 3 stages of the " Epic Beast Quest" that is unlocked at Level 40, accessible via Quests. This monkey controls increasingly powerful beasts to pop bloons, and can merge with other Beast Handlers to increase the power of their Beasts. The Beast Handler is a Support-class tower that was introduced in update 36.0. Multiple Beast Handlers can have their own beasts, or combine efforts to train a single beast with greater beast power. But when it comes to the last five questions, his claim that they’re “very hard” is unsettling (although not surprising) in what it reveals about his relationship with reality.īut before we dive into that, here’s what the test involves: Drawing a clock and a cube Trump is right about the start of the test being easy. We can’t tell for sure which version Trump took, but as he said he did it recently, I’ve taken the latest MoCA test from their website. There are a few different versions of the test with small variations (such as the words to remember or animals to name), but the questions are generally the same. The test is supposed to help physicians detect early signs of Alzheimer’s.” Talking to MarketWatch on Monday, Nasreddine stressed that the test “is supposed to be easy for someone who has no cognitive impairment”, saying that “this is not an IQ test or the level of how a person is extremely skilled or not. The test is called the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), and was created by the neurologist Dr Ziad Nasreddine in 1996. So what is the test and are the last five questions, as Trump claims, really so difficult? I’ll bet you couldn’t, they get very hard, the last five questions.” He added: “I guarantee you that Joe Biden could not answer those questions.” “But I’ll bet you couldn’t even answer the last five questions. “Yes, the first few questions are easy,” he conceded. This, according to Trump, was “misrepresentation”. However, some websites, particularly older ones or specific niche platforms, may still rely on Flash Player for their video content. Adobe officially announced the end of support for Flash Player in December 2020, urging users to uninstall the software due to its security risks.Īs a result, the usage of Flash Player has dramatically decreased, and many websites have migrated to alternative multimedia formats. Today, most modern web browsers no longer include Flash Player by default. HTML5 introduced native support for audio and video elements, eliminating the need for a separate plugin like Flash Player. Moreover, the evolution of web technologies led to the rise of HTML5, which offered a more efficient and secure way of delivering multimedia content. As a result, major web browsers, such as Google Chrome and Firefox, started phasing out support for Flash Player. One of the main issues was its security vulnerabilities, which resulted in numerous exploits and attacks. However, Flash Player had its limitations and drawbacks. The SWF files could include audio, video, vector-based graphics, and even scripted interactions. The technology enabled websites to play videos and display interactive elements seamlessly across different browsers and operating systems.įlash Player worked by interpreting SWF (Shockwave Flash) files, which contained the multimedia content, and rendering them on the user’s screen. Developed by Adobe Systems, it was widely used during the early years of the internet to deliver rich media experiences.įlash Player provided a powerful environment for animations, games, and videos, allowing developers to create interactive and visually appealing content. Adobe Flash Player was a multimedia software platform used to display and stream audio, video, and interactive content on websites. The manufacturers of both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines have applied for full approval from the FDA, and it has been widely reported that the FDA will issue a full approval for the Pfizer vaccine before the end of September (for an example of the reporting, see here). The vaccinations available at the time of this writing are being administered under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from the federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The same constitutional principles apply to government employers and employees as do to public universities and their students.ĭoes It Matter that the COVID-19 Vaccines Have Only an EUA Rather Than a Regular Approval? Supreme Court to hear their appeal, but Justice Amy Coney Barrett (the justice who to whom emergency appeals from Indiana are assigned) denied their request without comment, a signal that the majority of the Court did not think the appeal had merit. It also said that while the students have a right to bodily integrity, making vaccination a condition of enrollment at the university did not interfere with that right. The court found that under Jacobson, the students did not have a fundamental right not to be vaccinated. The federal Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals denied the students’ motion for a preliminary injunction to stop the university from implementing the requirement, finding the students were unlikely to prevail on the merits of their case. The students alleged that the university’s policy violated their substantive due process rights under the Fourteenth Amendment. Trustees of Indiana University, a group of students enrolled at Indiana University (a public university) sued to stop the university from requiring that all students be vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they had medical or religious reasons precluding vaccination. And recently, the federal Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed that when it comes to vaccines, Jacobson is still good law. In the decades since, the courts have applied Jacobson’s broad endorsement of the government’s right to take measures to protect public health to a wide variety of situations. The Court found that during a public health emergency, the government’s police power allows it to restrain a citizen’s rights in order to promote the common good, so long as the restraints are not imposed in an “arbitrary, unreasonable manner,” and do not “go so far beyond what was reasonably required for the safety of the public.” The Jacobson court did say that courts would be obliged to find an exception to a mandatory vaccination regulation for a person who had a condition that could result in serious injury to health or death from the vaccine-in modern words, a person with a medical contraindication. That law, the Court held, did not violate the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a Massachusetts law that permitted municipalities to order smallpox vaccination of all residents. That decision came in the 1905 case of Jacobson v Massachusetts, 197 U.S. A decision from more than a century ago, however, indicates that mandatory vaccinations in a public health emergency do not violate the Constitution. Governmental employers often face significant restrictions that private employers do not face, because governmental employers are directly subject to the requirements of the Constitution. Mandatory Vaccinations Do Not Violate the U.S. So long as a vaccine has been authorized for use by the FDA, an employer may require all of its employees to be vaccinated as a condition of employment, subject only to medical exceptions required by the ADA and religious exceptions required by Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Nothing prohibits a North Carolina public employer from requiring some or all of its employees to be vaccinated against particular illnesses, including COVID-19. PUBLIC EMPLOYERS MAY REQUIRE VACCINATION AGAINST COVID-19 This blog post updates and replaces the December post. Many employers are now re-evaluating whether to make vaccination mandatory or offer bonuses to their employees who get vaccinated. But much has happened since then, including publication of the EEOC’s guidance about vaccine incentives, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s issuance of an Emergency Temporary Standard for employees working in health care, including emergency medical services, and the emergence of a new, more contagious and more dangerous COVID-19 variant, the Delta variant. In that post I concluded that a public employer may require its employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment. In December 2020, I published a blog post titled May a Public Employer Require Vaccination Against COVID-19?. |
